Overview
If you only have 1 day to discover Slovenian Alps, then this is the tour to do! We will do a driving tour with several shorter walks to amazing natural sights in the Julian Alps and the Soca valley – the far north-western corner of Slovenia.
After an early start from Ljubljana, we will drive to the foothill of Slovenia’s highest mountain Mt. Triglav to admire its north wall and walk underneath a 52-meter waterfall. Then we take the winding road to the highest Slovenian road pass which offers amazing views of the Julian Alps. Continuing down to the beautiful Soca valley we take time for a delicious home-made Slovenian lunch and explore the numerous waterfalls & river pools which invite us for a cold swim. A true fairy tale for all nature lovers!
Let us know if you wish to stop at Lake Bled, have another swim, hike to a marvellous viewpoint or taste the famous cream cake.
Notes
The tour is designed for everyone who would like to get to know the amazing Slovenian nature and is suitable also for children. However, the day will be quite long and you will surely be tired when we get back to Ljubljana.
This tour includes several shorter walks to different natural sights. The walks are easy and technically non-demanding. Yet be prepared to do 4 to 5 easy 30-minute walks.
Apart from Ljubljana and Bled, other pick-up and drop off locations are possible as well, but please note that there might be a surcharge.
What to bring:
Warm clothes, sporty shoes, swimming suit, towel, a spare pair of shoes, extra clothes (in case we get wet).
