Goriska Brda Wine lovers' retreat

Reach Goriska Brda with your own transfer or fly into Trieste airport (Italy), an only 30-min drive away. We’ll arrange your airport transfer. Check into the Gredic castle or your private villa, where the pampering starts with a welcome drink and a stunning vineyard view. You’ll have some time to relax, unwind and get ready for your 5-course culinary journey accompanied by top-notch local wine – a generous gift of Dionysus to your unforgettable experience in the “Slovenian Tuscany”.

E-bikes will be delivered to your hotel, with our navigation app set up along with the handlebar case for easy navigation and comfortable independent exploration. You’ll be able to choose from a variety of scenic routes with different difficulties or distances. The bikes are at your disposal for the next 3 days to bike as much or as little as you want!  Should you prefer a regular bike or a road bike, let us know. But do mind that the hilly wine hills without the help of battery power are enjoyable for the physically fit.

Upon a relaxing morning with a delicious breakfast, get ready for your wine tour. Our local guide will pick you up with a 4×4 jeep and take you on a unique wine tour filled with local stories, anecdotes, learning about the wine, and a lovely picnic lunch in the vineyard. You’ll visit two local winemakers, enter their wine cellars, get to know about their philosophy & style and enjoy the content of their barrels and bottles. The whole tour takes about 5-6 hours to still have plenty of free time to relax and chill by the pool.

You can spend your day on a laid-back stroll along the signposted trails through the terraced hills lined with beautiful grapevines. Though you’ll most probably wish to hop on your bikes again and explore other areas of Goriska Brda. Our warmest suggestion is to take on our border-crossing cycling tour of Slovenia with Italy, with a typical Italian lunch in one of the local restaurants or wineries, before leaving for your next escapade.
